During 2013 we saw home prices and sales soar! The Real Estate Market completely shifted from a buyers to a sellers market giving the homeowner the advantage during negotiations. Investors flocked and began buying properties with the idea of leasing them out.
In 2014 Broward County saw home sales rise 1% from July through September. The median price for existing homes was $281,500, a 3% increase from a year ago. According to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtor Association. Click here for the Local weather.
Palm Beach County saw an 18 percent increase in sales. The median price of $273,263 was down less than 1 percent from the 3rd quarter of 2013. John Tuccillo a chief economist said in a statement "The housing market has settled into a stable pattern of activity that is reminiscent of the market before the craziness of the last few years,".
