It all began back in 1971, some 43-44 years ago. Richard Nixon was in the White House, George C. Scott was the Academy Award winner for Patton, Simon & Garfunkel won the Grammys for Bridge over Troubled Water and Archie Bunker and family debuted on CBS with the highly regarded television series All in the Family.
The Miami Auto Dealers Association produced the first show with 65 members. Today with 190 Automotive dealerships belonging to the South Florida Automotive Dealers Association a name which was adopted back in 1975 when Palm Beach and Broward Counties joined the group.
So much has changed in the Automotive industry during the last 44 years. New technology and engineering lead the charge. Cars handle better, get more efficient fuel mileage, cosmetics last longer, cars are safer. The comfort level surely has changed!
