South Florida Realtor Enters Lions Den

Meeting clients for a fun filled afternoon showing homes and condominiums in Plantation, Florida. One of our property listings to view states that there is a kitten and to be careful not to let her out! No worries as I explain to my clients. We're pet friendly.

So we enter the residence and are making our way through the unit when I feel a breeze blow past me. I’m thinking to myself what was that? I turn and my client says the cat just took a swipe at you. Twice!

Well we continue our tour; I can tell my clients aren't really clicking with this condo. Could be the cat has them scared.  Not sure at this point. Anyway, we still have three homes to view in sunny South Florida after this one. So we decide to leave.

Upon exiting the cat attacks me! Luckily I was carrying a clip board and was able to keep her at bay while we exited. So I go to lock the door when I realize the lockbox is inside the unit resting on the sofa table. All of a sudden I have this really sick feeling. I look at my clients who are at this point terrified but laughing because they realize I have to go back inside and face this ferocious animal.

One of the most terrifying moments in my Real Estate career! I’m just glad they made an offer on a different home as I did not want to venture back into that domicile ever again. I was sweating!!!
