On October 25, 2014 Tobacco
Road will close at 626 S. Miami Avenue after serving patrons for 102 years.
Last call for alcohol at Tobacco Road Saturday from 8pm
to 5am. Performing live will be Afrobeta, Juke,”Mr. Tobacco Road”, Pat De Leon,
The Hoovers, The Jay Blues Band, The Hongs and The Eclectics.
The funds collected will be used to relocate the restaurant
and bar to 69 S.W. 7th Street, Miami. Most of the bar’s original
furnishings will be intact, including its famous neon sign, entryway, interior
wood bar, all 30 feet of it. Grand opening should be in approximately a year.
The owners have also partnered with Miami based Norwegian Cruise Lines to create a Tobacco Road
on their highly touted Norwegian Escape. Set to debut in November.They has also built a customized food truck,
serving everything everyone has come to love and enjoy from Tobacco Road. The trucks first event
will be at the “Walk a Mile in our Boots” Walk at the Village Green in Key
Biscayne, Sunday, November 9th at 3pm.
