The Hess Select
South Beach Seafood Festival returns for its second straight year with
dinners and events beginning today and running through Saturday evening. Today’s
event began at Joes Stone Crab with
a Kick off Dinner.
On Thursday October 23rd the festival hosts a seafood
shuttle tour which includes a half dozen stops offering a complimentary glass
of wine and bite sized menu at each locale. Nominal charge of course! The evening
begins at Equinox
South Beach at 6:30.
Friday the 24th sports the Chef Showdown. Some of
the best chefs go head to head in a smack down of epic proportions. Just to
name a few we have Chef Ralph Pagano of Alba Seaside
Italian and Naked Taco,
Sienna Tavern, Café Avanti,
Park Central, Poseidon and Red the
Steakhouse and many many more.
The showdown begins at 7pm at the festival's Goya Culinary Pavilion at Lummus
Park. The competition begins at 8pm.
The festival culminates on Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m., Live
entertainment, incredible food, a demo stage, Goya kids zone, a health village,
creative cocktails and to cool you down they are providing cool down stations.
Sounds like fun.
