Jade Signature, an incredible dream realized 50 feet underground 

A true dream realized, a parking garage 50 feet underground along the ocean. Three levels to house Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Bugattis, Aston Martins, Paganis, etc. The cost of the garage added 25 million to the construction bill. 

The garage is the deepest ever to be constructed in South Florida. The plan was to have the condominiums lobby at street level and connected to the ocean just a few steps away.

She's the dream of  developer Eduardo DeFortuna. So with the help of Suffolk Construction and a novel technique due to the low water line and the porous limestone lying just beneath the surface. 

Suffolk used drilling equipment that goes deep into the ground and mixes the stone with cement creating an underground concrete column. Suffolk created 2,000 or so interlocking columns around the edge of the buildings foundation. 

The end result was a concrete bathtub that protects the parking garage from water intrusion. The company had 150 concrete trucks come to the site on January 2 to pour an 8 foot slab that forms the lowest level of the foundation.
